Merry.. Happy.. July?

I love Christmas.
Like.. love love LOVE Christmas.
Not necessarily Christmas Day itself. But the weeks that come before it. It is my absolute favorite time of the year, hands down. The music, the shopping, the decorations, movies, the style!
If you know me even a little bit, you know that I can watch Christmas movies
all
year
round.
I never get sick of them. In fact, I can recite all of my favorites. Almost every single word.
✨
A few days ago, something magical happened. I climbed out of bed and began walking downstairs. To my surprise, I saw a winter wonderland in my home! All of my favorite winter candles were lit, our tree was not only set up, but fully decorated! Christmas lights were strung throughout our home, homemade crockpot hot chocolate wafting toward me from our kitchen, and The Grinch was on tv. I even had a stocking full of my favorite snacks and a special present under the tree!
“Is this a dream?!”
I thought to myself.
I chose to write this post, not to talk all about my somewhat crazy (there, I admitted it) obsession, but to show my appreciation for Callum and all he does for our family. He never judges or shows irritation toward my quirks. He instead, chooses to embrace them and love me more for them.
✨
Times are weird. For everyone, I imagine.
I myself have been worrying more than usual because of the current state of our planet.
There are so many unknowns right now.
“Are we making all of the right decisions for our family?”
“When will things go back to normal?
“When will my baby meet people?!”
Will things ever go back to normal?”

Take a minute to consider the answers to these questions:
What makes you happy? What are your quirks? What makes your partner happy? What can you do to put a smile on your face? On someone else’s face? I’m not saying you have to stay up all night to secretly decorate your whole house (or am I?) I’m simply suggesting that you take a moment to consider what you can do to feel a sense of nostalgia for even only a day. A day to forget about all that is going on outside of your home. A day to smile and laugh.
What would your ideal day look like?
I love my
Christmas in July
